Video Callout: Seeking your voices for ‘The Letter’ Campaign

A note from Friends of the Global Fight President Chris Collins:

Greetings from Washington, D.C.! I’m writing today to ask for your help as we create a video to make a case for sustained U.S. support of the Global Fund under the new U.S. Administration and Congress.

We started building this case through targeted media and an issue brief. Now, we’re working with motive, a creative agency that has partnered with (RED), on a multimedia campaign to ensure that these important messages are heard by U.S. decision-makers.

The campaign is called “The Letter.” It is written from the perspective of every individual who has received help from the Global Fund. The real people. We want this to feel personal, and so we’d like your help.

We want to use images of the people who are directly impacted by Global Fund-supported programs. So we are asking you, our partners, to help us get the word out. We are looking for video shot by individuals themselves, on whatever device they have.

These video clips should be spontaneous – we’d like to see moments from the typical day of people who have received Global Fund support, at work or at play.  At this link you can find a brief and a sample video for inspiration to show the general tone and feel we are going for.  Also at that link are release forms that we ask both photographers and those featured to fill out when submitting video.

There is no time limit or resolution requirement – we’d love to see as much of their/your lives as possible, in any way you can share. You are the stars.

Please share widely with Global Fund-supported partners and advocates. All videos, images and release forms can be uploaded here: https://goo.gl/cVwq6e by FEBRUARY 28. And please reach out to us at [email protected] if you have any questions or need any technical assistance. We want to make this as easy as possible.

Thank you in advance for helping us work toward steady U.S. support of the Global Fund and global health.

Chris
